Mintec was founded in 1979 by Peter Clark, the managing director, with Peter Woodruff, Mike Pratt and Craig Kennewell making up the remainder of the management team.

Since 1979 Mintec has experienced substantial growth and now employs 40 IT and business professionals. Still locally based in East Melbourne, Mintec services clients nationwide.
